RailEye后視鏡系統(tǒng)不僅可作為傳統(tǒng)的后視鏡使用，同時也可當作車門監(jiān)控系統(tǒng)。機箱生產(chǎn)商必須保證電子元件在要求苛刻的環(huán)境中也不受損害。核心系統(tǒng)除了有高分辨率的拍照系統(tǒng)，還有直接集成在軌道車輛中的評估型電子元件。視頻鏈接可以對車輛信號進行智能處理（如打開車門、駕駛方向、速度調(diào)整等），從而根據(jù)顯示器上的要求自動發(fā)生改變。這樣一來，駕駛員就可以通過全屏、半屏或四分之一屏幕的內(nèi)容獲取適當?shù)男畔ⅰＵ麄€系統(tǒng)均要符合安全應用標準和軌道車輛防火規(guī)范。
系統(tǒng)機箱必須具備高度防抗防震和EMC保護功能，這對客戶來說是一項決定性因素。作為高性能的電子產(chǎn)品，機箱必須確保在–20℃～+ 85℃的環(huán)境溫度下功率損耗僅為5W。
由于安防領域的高要求，該系統(tǒng)需要按照以下標準進行認證：EN50155（車輛電子設備認證）；
EN50232-3-2（電磁兼容性）；EN61373（防震測試）以及EN45545（防火測試）以及CE認證。所有的零件組件都需符合這些標準。
